Position: School Psychologist
Rate: Up to $80/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a School Psychologist who will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This role involves administering and overseeing evaluations and actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and problem-solving discussions to design systems, programs, and services that support students' social, emotional, and educational development. Collaborating closely with students, staff, and families, the School Psychologist works to foster a positive and effective learning environment. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of students' 504 plans, managing relevant data, organizing parent meetings, and communicating regularly with teachers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments: evaluate students' cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral needs using standardized assessment tools and problem-solving approaches
- IEPs: collaborate with appropriate staff on IEP conferences and evaluations, working with teachers, school counselors, administrators, the student, and their families
- 504 plan development: author 504 plans for qualifying students to establish goals and support for students appropriate to the school environment
- Counseling and support services: provide individual and/or group counseling services as outlined in students' IEPs, addressing issues that may impact learning and well-being. Additional groups may be formed at the discretion of the Instructional Intervention Team and/or Student Services
- Crisis Intervention: collaborate with the Student Services in crisis response efforts and develop functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support identified students
- Classroom integration: work with educators to integrate psychological services and strategies into the classroom environment as needed to support students' learning and engagement
- Staff and family collaboration: guide staff in implementing effective interventions and accommodations, and work closely with families to support student's growth and development
- Professional development: provide training and professional development for teachers, staff, and families on relevant topics, and participate in ongoing professional growth activities, including certifications and workshops
- Technology use: utilize technology to communicate, compile reports, manage case data, and track progress.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, or a related field
- Valid state license or certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in a school setting or with school-aged children (preferred)
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities; proficiency with data management and technology tools
