Speech Language Pathologist
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school team. In this role, you will work with students of various ages to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders that affect their learning and communication. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create tailored therapy plans that support each student’s individual needs.
As an SLP, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, providing direct therapy, and monitoring progress. You will also provide consultations and guidance to staff and parents to help students improve their communication skills both in and outside of the classroom. Additionally, you will document progress and develop reports that track student development and therapy outcomes.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and possess experience in a school setting. Requirements:
- Valid SLP license
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for working with children in educational environments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a Master’s degree with major emphasis in speech-language pathology, communication disorders or speech-language and hearing science
- Applicant must hold or be eligible for a Speech/Language Pathologist Professional License from the State of Delaware
- ASHA certification is preferred; however, CFY’s may be considered if supervision is accessible.
- Must be able to stand and work continuously for a minimum of four hours per work day.
- Must be able to use arms and hands without restrictions to accommodate the physical, mobility, and ambulatory needs of students.
- Favorable criminal background check and child registry check required.
- 2 Step Tuberculin test.
